Geography is concerned with the study of places, the human and physical processes that shape them and the people who live in them. Our pupils’ geography work aims to help them understand their place in the world, through the study of people and their environments and the effects that people have on the environment. This includes study of our local area, engaging in fieldwork on educational visits, as well as learning about different cultures and societies across the world. This learning is extended through considering environmental issues. Our pupils are given opportunities to use and understand a range of maps and to develop their investigative and problem solving skills.
